Small Businesses Strengthen Communities.
Help us continue to be there for the business owners who depend on us.
GivingTuesday is a global movement, unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world. Even in times of economic uncertainty, we each have a deep reserve of generosity, which we can deploy in myriad ways to make a difference. Your time, kindness, skills, and voice are all things you can give, in addition to charitable donations.
This year, during the continuing national health crisis, small businesses needed help more than ever before. Many businesses were forced to pivot their operations in a shifting landscape, dramatically revamp their marketing plans, apply for loans, or make tough decisions about employees.
As the pandemic stretches on, SCORE remains committed to developing programs and resources focused on serving sectors within the small business community that have been most negatively impacted. This includes Black-owned businesses, Hispanic-owned, women-owned, and other underrepresented communities.
Your contribution to SCORE Southern Arizona will help us continue to be there for the business owners who depend on us. Every dollar will be used to create valuable and timely resources that small business owners need to navigate the significant challenges they’re facing and keep their doors open. Please make a donation today.
One of Our Successes
Christopher Bridgewater, U.S. military veteran, successfully launched his business, Delta Development Team, which now has four employees, including the partners.
Bridgewater attended every entrepreneurship workshop he could find during his transition back to civilian life. He met his mentor David Terrell at a SCORE seminar. “The wealth of information in that presentation answered many questions and gave me a huge to do list to bring my company up a level,” says Bridgewater. He immediately contacted Terrell for mentoring.
He says, “SCORE has helped keep me focused and on track, introduced me to extremely helpful experienced individuals, providing resources and links.”
